Johnson City, Tenn. – The UNCG women's soccer team lost, 1-0, on the road at ETSU Friday night in Southern Conference action. The Spartans (4-8-2) move to 1-2-1 in league play and return to action Sunday at Western Carolina.

A goal by Eleonora Goldoni in the ninth minute was all it would take for ETSU to hand the Spartans their second conference loss of the season.

Chloe Buehler (Perrysburg, Ohio/Penn State) made five saves in the match as the Bucs outshot UNCG 13-4 overall. The Blue & Gold held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

UNCG now leads the all-time series 10-4 and is 5-3 all-time against ETSU on the road. In addition, the Bucs have won the last four meetings.

The Spartans continue their four-match road stretch Sunday, October 9, against Western Carolina. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.

The UNCG women's soccer alumni weekend is set for October 21-23 during Homecoming Weekend. To register for Alumni Weekend contact Spartan Club Assistant Director Rachael Farlow at rkfarlow@uncg.edu or 336-334-5156. The deadline to RSVP is October 17.
