UNCG’s men finished fifth in the meet, while the women placed
eighth in the team scoring. Chattanooga edged out conference

Jordan, a native of Charlotte, NC, crossed the line in 18:03.71, the second fastest time in school history and more than 50 seconds better than her previous personal record. The school record was set by Eleanor Wilson on October 18, 2003 with a time of 17:51.08 at the North Carolina Intercollegiate. Jordan’s fourth place finish was the best by a Spartan at the SoCon meet since Heidi Sloop placed third in 2003. She is the sixth female in school history to earn All-SoCon honors. UNCG has been running in the SoCon since 1997.
Freshman Jermaine Coore led the Spartan men. The Somerset, NJ native crossed the line in 13th place with a personal-best time of 25:30.11 to earn second-team all-conference status. Joey Thompson, another freshman, was 18th for UNCG with a time of 25:41.84. Both earned all-freshman honors.
The Spartans take next week off and will return to action at the NCAA Regional meet in Clemmons, NC, on Nov. 15.
