Sherrika Jordan and Tiffany Garber compete at NCAA Cross Country Regional

LOUISVILLE, KY – UNC Greensboro cross country runners Sherrika Jordan and Tiffany Garber competed at the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday morning.

Jordan, one of UNCG’s top runners all season, took 131st place with a time of 22:58.65 over the 6K course. The Charlotte, NC native shaved over two minutes off of her previous personal-best of 24:08, set last year.

Garber, who was running in her first regional, crossed the line in 24:31.25 good for a 206th place finish. Garber competed in three meets this season and had her best meet of the year at the Southern Conference Championships where she ran a season-best 19:53.49 over a 5K course.

North Carolina’s Brianna Felnagle claimed the individual title after completing the course in 19:52.25. North Carolina State and Duke, who finished in first and second place, respectfully, earned the automatic berths to the NCAA Championships to be held in Terra Haute, IN on Nov. 19.
