Volleyball Begins Second Half Of SoCon Play
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG kicks off a four-match homestand this weekend, welcoming Southern Conference South Division opponents Furman and Wofford to Fleming Gymnasium. The Spartans host Furman Friday at 7 p.m. before entertaining the Terriers Saturday evening - also at 7 p.m.
UNCG looks to solidify its hold on second place in the North Division as their 4-4 league record keeps the Spartans in front of Chattanooga, Elon and Western Carolina by a game. The top four teams in each division qualify for the Southern Conference Championship.
The Blue and Gold stumbled on the road last weekend, falling 3-0 to Georgia Southern in Statesboro Saturday before letting a 2-1 lead slip away at Davidson as the Wildcats rallied for a 3-2 victory.
