With the win, the Spartans moved into a tie for second place in the North Division with Elon, although UNCG holds the tiebreaker by sweeping the Phoenix in their two meetings this season.

The match was the Spartans’ annual Dig Pink match, which raises awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. $486 was raised for the Side-Out Foundation on the afternoon through t-shirt sales and donations.
