Former UNCG setter Adrian Hicks named asst. coach at Greensboro College

GREENSBORO, NC -- Former UNC Greensboro volleyball standout Adrian Hicks has joined the Greensboro College volleyball coaching staff, the school announced this week.

Currently finishing her undergraduate degree at UNCG, Hicks was a four-year member of the school’s volleyball team. An exercise and sport science major, she made the Dean’s List and was named to the Southern Conference academic team.

She has served as co-coach of PTVC club volleyball team (2004 and 2006) and was a counselor at the Meredith College volleyball camp this past summer. Additionally, she served as a counselor at the UNCG volleyball camps.

A three-year starter as a setter at UNCG, Hicks had 1,100 assists as a senior and had 3,141 in her career, which ranks third all-time at UNCG. Her 1,100 assists last season ranks sixth all-time on UNCG's single-season list.

A native of Morganton, NC, Hicks attended Freedom High School. She was an all conference volleyball selection at FHS in her senior season.
