UNCG women’s volleyball team falls in three games at Appalachian State

BOONE, NC – UNC Greensboro dropped a Southern Conference women’s volleyball match at Appalachian State Saturday night at Holmes Center. The Mountaineers won the contest by scores of 30-21, 30-26, 30-17.

Hilary Overby paced UNCG (2-12, 1-3 SoCon) with eight kills, while Christin Heverly and Alysia Rosvold each came up with seven digs. Adrian Hicks dished out 23 assists.

Kali Rumberger put away a match-high 13 kills to lead Appalachian State (10-6, 3-1 SoCon). Stefanie Panzer and Dianna Thomas added 12 and 10 kills respectively. Lorelle Rau doled out 46 assists, while Rumberger had 14 digs.

UNCG will visit conference rival Davidson tomorrow at 2 pm in Davidson, NC.
