UNCG falls 3-0 to Stetson in women’s volleyball

CHARLESTON, SC - Stetson hit a season-high .307 for the match to lead the Hatters to a 3-0 victory over the UNC Greensboro women’s volleyball team in the final match of the Charleston Southern Invitational. The Spartans fell by scores of 30-12, 30-23, and 30-23.

Junior Hilary Overby led UNCG (1-6) with nine kills while, senior Lauren Richards and freshman Kaitlyn Nortz added six kills apiece. Senior Adrian Hicks dished out 21 assists, while sophomore Alysia Rosvold had a team-high nine digs.

Senior DeeAnn Dempsey led the Hatters with 19 kills. Karla Readshaw dished out 26 assists while, Liz Gorski led the defensive effort with 15 digs.

UNCG will host Campbell on Tuesday in the home-opener of the 2005 season. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 pm at Fleming Gym.
