Relay teams once again lead UNCG at Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, NC – UNC Greensboro’s relay teams once again shined for the Spartans, as they both broke school records during the second day of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday.
The women’s 4x800 meter team ran a time of 9:39.38, which was just over 45 seconds faster than the previous school record that was set in 1999.
The men’s 4x800 meter team broke the previous school record by 21 seconds after completing the event in a time of 7:39.29.
Laura Bocko’s time of 12:15.09 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase was the second fastest time in school history.
The Spartans will return to competition next weekend as they make the short trip to Durham, NC for the Duke Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
