“We are very lucky to have Ale come back to our program,” said Trivette. “She is arguably, one of the best tennis players ever to put on a Spartan uniform. She has a high level of experience at the college and pro levels that will be invaluable to our kids in our practices and matches. I am most excited about is that we have a former student-athlete returning to our program, who wants to invest her time and energy into the success of UNCG tennis.”

 
Guerra contributed to the Spartans as a player from 2007 to 2009. She was named Southern Conference Player of the Year in 2008. Guerra was a two-time First Team All SoCon selection in singles and doubles in 2008-2009. She placed as high as No. 38 in singles and No. 12 in doubles in the ITA national rankings.

 
In 2008, Guerra went 18-2 in singles and ended the season with a perfect record of 9-0 in SoCon matches. She followed that season with 29-8 record in singles and a 9-1 ledger in the SoCon in 2009. 

Guerra is pursuing her Master’s degree in Liberal Arts and is expected to graduate in 2015.
