Women's Tennis Concludes Fall Season at Kitty Harrison Invitational
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG's women's tennis program heads to the Kitty Harrison Invitational, Friday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 11, in Chapel Hill, N.C. to conclude the 2012 fall season.
"We're going to Chapel Hill where we've got four ACC teams and a couple of nationally ranked teams so it's going to be quite a good field," said head coach Jeff Trivette. "I want to see us compete really well and I want to get a picture of what the spring's going to look like you know, who's going to step up, who's going to lead and who's going to be at the level that we need to compete for a SoCon Championship."
Teams competing this weekend include host UNC, Minnesota, Maryland, Marshall, Duke, Virginia, William and Mary, Virginia Tech, Norfolk State and UNCG.
Senior Niltooli Wilkins (Burnsville, Minn. / Homeschooled) is currently 8-3 in singles, while classmate Annette Rios (Santa Ana, El Salvador / Liceo Latinoamericano) is 7-4. Sophomore Stephanie Falcon (Marietta, Ga. / Walton) has a 6-1 record, and freshman Jamie Grinberg (Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill) is 6-3 in singles.
