UNCG competes in second day of Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNCG won three of four singles matches, but dropped all six doubles matches on the second day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Saturday.

 

Alex Whitehead, Annette Rios and Mikayla Rogers earned wins in four singles matches played against Maryland. Whitehead had the easiest time, rolling past Burce Kurkan, 6-2 and 6-0.  Rogers also coasted to a win, downing Eleonore Palliard, 6-1 and 6-2.

 

UNCG dropped six doubles pro-sets on the day, however, falling to Minnesota and Texas A&M in three doubles sets each.

 

Tournament play concludes on Sunday.
