UNCG’s Rogers and Wilkins advance in doubles play at ITA Regional
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNCG's doubles tandem of Mikayla Rogers and Niltooli Wilkins advanced to the round of 16 with a pair of wins on the opening day of the ITA Carolinas Regional on Thursday.
Rogers and Wilkins put away Christina Liamantoro and Paige Oelke, 8-2, and then turned back Clemson's Laurianne Henry and Caroline Magnusson by an 8-5 score.
Rogers and Stephanie Macfarlane both lost in qualifying bracket action in singles play. Wilkins and Alex Whitehead will begin play in the main singles bracket on Friday.
