UNCG cruises to easy 7-0 win over Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - UNC Greensboro won four singles matches in straight sets in coasting to an easy 7-0 win over Wofford in Southern Conference women's tennis action Saturday night.

The Spartans got straight-set singles wins from Alex Whitehead, Valerie Behr, Mikayla Rogers and Annette Rios in raising their record to 10-8 on the year. Rogers cruised to her win, downing Stephanie Cox, 6-1 and 6-0, while Rios topped

Lucy Schermerhorn, 6-4 and 6-0.

With the win, UNCG stayed alive in the SoCon Tournament race as it raised its mark to 10-8 on the year, 4-4 in league play.

The Spartans visit Furman on Sunday.
