Guerra ties school record as UNCG blasts Appalachian State

BOONE, N.C. – UNC Greensboro completed a clean sweep with six straight single-set wins as UNC Greensboro topped Appalachian State, 7-0, in women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon.

Lucy Dougherty won her 21st match of the year and Alejandra Guerra tied her own school record with her 27th win of the season as UNCG completed conference play at 8-2 and has an overall mark of 14-5. Dougherty, winner of 15 straight, completed her league slate at a perfect 10-0 after beating Gisela Fernandez at No. 5 singles, 6-1 and 6-2.

The Spartans will await their pairing in next week's Southern Conference Tournament.
