UNCG falls at No. 26 Florida State
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Arielle VonStrolley and Alejandra Guerra earned a win at No. 1 doubles, but that would be UNC Greensboro's only victory of the day as No. 26 Florida State topped the Spartans, 7-0, in women's tennis action on Sunday afternoon.
VonStrolley and Guerra won by an 8-7 score over Federica Suess and Noemie Scharle at No. 1 doubles. However, the Seminoles won the other two doubles matches to claim the first point of the afternoon.
Florida State took control from there, winning all six singles matches in straight sets to raise its record to 3-2 on the spring season. UNCG dropped to 0-2 with both losses coming to Top 30-ranked teams.
UNCG returns to action on February 22 when it hosts Georgia Southern for its Southern Conference opener.
