UNCG rolls past Wyoming, 6-1
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNC Greensboro began a three-match swing in Colorado with a 6-1 win over Wyoming on Monday afternoon.
The Spartans won five of six singles matches after sweeping all three doubles' pro-sets to gain an early lead. Nationally-ranked Alejandra Guerra rolled past Sarah Summerfield by identical 6-2 scores, one of four straight-set wins for the Spartans in singles play. Arielle VonStrolley, Britney Cloer, Lucy Dougherty and Sarah Templeton also earned straight-set victories.
UNCG was slated to face Air Force late Monday before taking on Northern Colorado on Tuesday.
