WILMINGTON, NC – The duos of Alejandra Guerra and Arielle VonStrolley and Courtney Akel and Sarah Templeton won doubles titles in their respective flights at the UNCW Women’s Tennis Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
In addition, Guerra and Erica Zabkar advanced to Sunday’s championship round in singles action in Flights A and B, respectively.
Guerra and VonStrolley topped Madeline Hakansson and Ayano Tanaka of Kennesaw State, 8-4, to win Flight A. Akel and Templeton defeated Hartley Collins of UNC Wilmington and Mercedes Cambos of Kennesaw State, 8-3, to win Flight C.
Singles action concludes on Sunday morning.
