Zabkar, VonStrolley earn wins as UNCG closes out at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – UNC Greensboro closed out the Charlotte Fall Tournament with two more wins in singles action and a doubles victory.

Erica Zabkar, a senior from Atlanta, GA, finished the weekend a perfect 3-0, sweeping all six sets for the weekend. She topped Kiera Strickland of Georgia State, 6-4 and 6-1.

Arielle VonStrolley finished the weekend 2-1 in singles play after earning a thrilling three-set win on Sunday. She rallied to defeat Daniana Kozmina of Georgia State, 4-6, 7-6, 1-0. In addition, VonStrolley and doubles partner Alejandra Guerra defeated Kozmina and Mateja Podgorsek, 8-4.

UNCG begins competition at the ITA Regional in Chapel Hill, NC on Wednesday.
