TUSCALOOSA, AL – Erica Zabkar and Sarah Templeton picked up wins in consolation bracket action as UNC Greensboro wrapped up women’s tennis action at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.
Zabkar, a senior from Atlanta, GA, topped Iowa’s Kelcie Kockenga in a three-set thriller, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, for her first win of the weekend. Templeton, a junior from Boulder, CO, also picked up her first win of the weekend, topping Belmont’s Kelly Pence in straight sets, 7-6 and 6-1.
Alejandra Gurerra also picked up a default win to finish fifth in the Crimson Bracket.
UNCG returns to action on October 12 and 13 at the Charlotte Fall Invitational.
