STATESBORO, GA – UNC Greensboro earned four singles wins in six matches to pick up its first Southern Conference win of the season with a 5-2 win over Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon.
UNCG (3-6, 1-2) got straight-set singles wins from Alejandra Guerra and Erica Zabkar, coupled with a pair of third-set wins by Britney Cloer and Arielle VonStrolley to earn the Spartans’ first SoCon win of the season. The Spartans won all three doubles pro-sets to get the day started in its favor.
With the loss, Georgia Southern dropped to 7-7, 1-3 in SoCon play.
UNCG steps out of conference to host UNC Wilmington on Tuesday.
