UNCG falls at College of Charleston, 5-2

CHARLESTON, SC – UNC Greensboro got singles wins from Alejandra Guerra and Arielle VonStrolley, but it wasn’t quite enough as College of Charleston ran its record to 10-2 on the season with a 5-2 win over the Spartans in women’s tennis action Friday afternoon.

Guerra easily dismissed Chelsea Albertz, 6-0 and 6-3, at No. 1 singles. VonStrolley rallied from down a set to top Laura Borza at No. 2 singles, 4-6, 7-5, 1-0.

But the Cougars won the bottom four singles matches and all three doubles’ pro-sets to raise their conference mark to 2-0 on the season.
