UNCG falls at No. 12 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, NC – UNC Greensboro’s women’s tennis team opened the second half of its 2007-08 schedule with a 7-0 loss at No. 12 ranked North Carolina on Friday night.

North Carolina swept through all six singles matches and all three doubles pro-sets to earn its first win of the spring season. UNCG held tough during the doubles, falling 8-3 and 8-4 during the doubles pro-sets at Nos. 2 and 3. Alejandra Guerra gave Katrina Tsang a tough first set in singles action, dropping the first set, 6-4.

However, the 12th-ranked Tar Heels took over from there to cruise to the shutout win.
