GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro won five singles matches in straight-set sweeps on its way to a 7-0 win over Winston-Salem State in women’s tennis action Saturday afternoon.
Arielle VonStrolley, Erica Zabkar, Whitney Miles, Courtney Akel and Sarah Templeton all won by perfect 6-0, 6-0 scores as the Spartans moved to 2-0 on the spring season.
Valerie Behr and Jessica Eblen also cruised to an 8-0 pro-set victory to help the Spartans claim the doubles point.
UNCG will face High Point on Wednesday in a make-up from a match that was postponed earlier this week due to inclement weather. The match gets underway at 2 pm.
