Davidson tops UNCG, 7-0, in SoCon women's tennis match-up

DAVIDSON, NC – Davidson College swept won five of the six singles matches in straight sets on its way to a 7-0 win over UNC Greensboro in Southern Conference women’s tennis action Thursday afternoon.

UNCG’s Emily Wade had the only singles match that went to a third set, falling at No. 2 singles to Michele Fanney, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6). Davidson all won all three doubles pro-sets.

The Spartans return to action on Saturday when they visit former SoCon rival East Tennessee State for a non-conference match-up.
