GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro’s Whitney Miles and Erica Zabkar picked up straight set wins in singles action, but it wasn’t enough as UNC Wilmington picked up a 5-2 win over the Spartans in women’s tennis action Wednesday afternoon.
Miles defeated Lauren Isenhour, 6-4 and 7-6, 7-4 in the tiebreaker, at No. 2 singles. Zabkar breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Molly Molony at No. 3 singles. However, UNCW won all three doubles pro-sets and the remaining four singles matches.
UNCG returns to the courts on Saturday when they host a doubleheader, facing Charlotte at 10 am and North Carolina A&T at 4 pm.
