Suggs named SoCon Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC – UNC Greensboro’s Lisa Suggs was named Southern Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday for her outstanding play last week.

Suggs, a sophomore from Fayetteville, NC, had a perfect week against SoCon competition as UNCG went 2-1. She won all three of her singles' matches and all three of her doubles' matches last week. She defeated Evin Prelec of Elon and Maxine Campbell of College of Charleston in straight sets on Tuesday and Saturday, respectively, Then she beat Georgia Southern's Szilvia Zsakay in three sets to wrap-up UNCG's 4-3 over the Eagles on Sunday.

She has won five of her last six matches and is 7-3 since February 1.

UNCG faces Princeton in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday.
