MT. PLEASANT, SC – Lisa Suggs and Erica Zabkar earned straight-set wins in singles action, but UNC Greensboro fell to College of Charleston, 5-2, in Southern Conference women’s tennis action on Saturday afternoon.
Suggs, a sophomore from Fayetteville, NC, cruised past Maxine Capewell at No. 1 singles, 6-0 and 6-2. Zabkar, a sophomore from Atlanta, GA, had nearly as easy a time with the Cougars’ Ashley Finnegan, winning 6-3 and 6-1.
UNCG continues its SoCon road swing when it takes on Georgia Southern on Sunday in Statesboro, GA.
