Suggs and Wade team up for win, but UNCG falls at North Carolina State, 7-0

RALEIGH, NC – Lisa Suggs and Emily Wade picked up their first doubles’ win of the spring, but that was the lone bright spot for UNC Greensboro as North Carolina State defeated the Spartans, 7-0, in women’s tennis action Sunday afternoon.

Suggs and Wade defeated Barbara Orlay, the No. 90 singles’ player in college tennis, and Alejandra Guerra in a doubles pro-set, 8-5. Orlay and Guerra got revenge in singles’ action with straight-set wins. Orlay defeated Suggs at the first singles flight, 6-3, 6-2, while Guerra defeated Whitney Miles, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3 singles.

UNCG returns to action in two weeks when it hosts UNC Asheville on January 29.
