Women's soccer game time changed to 1 pm, all other events to go on as scheduled

GREENSBORO, NC - The UNC Greensboro women's soccer game against Stetson has been rescheduled for a 1 pm start from the original 5 pm kickoff.  The match was the first of the NC State/Residence Inn North Tournament.

Match time has been moved up due to the possibility of tropical storm conditions affecting the Raleigh area late Friday evening into Saturday.  Live stats can still be found at www.gopack.com and results will be posted on www.UNCGSpartans.com as soon as they become available.  Sunday's match between VCU and the Spartans will go on as scheduled at 3:30 pm.

The UNCG men's soccer team will host the UNCG Kickoff Classic as scheduled Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.  Old Dominion and Elon will get the tournament going at 5 pm followed by UNCG and Winthrop at 7:30 pm.  Sunday's games will also go on as scheduled with Elon vs. Winthrop at 12 pm and UNCG vs. Old Dominion at 2:30 pm.

Both of UNCG's matches this weekend will be available on Spartan All-Access while live stats will also be available via the UNCG website.

The Spartan men's golf and men's and women's cross country teams will travel to their respective events as scheduled.  The golf team is set to compete at the Maryland Intercollegiate in River Marsh, MD  but tee times are tentative on Saturday and Sunday.   The cross country teams will compete at the Eye Opener meet in Spartanburg, SC, an all day event on Saturday.
