Spartan All Access tentative slate in place for the fall season

GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro's athletic department announced Friday its plans for Spartan All Access in the 2008-09 academic year, including a new game-by-game purchase package.

Spartan All Access is UNCG's subscription based video package, broadcasting athletic events for eight sports on a live and, if a UNCG home event, on-demand, as well. The package is available through UNCG's athletics Web site – UNCGSpartans.com. The 2008-09 slate will include close to 100 live athletic events beginning with the men's soccer exhibition match against Duke next Wednesday night, August 20, at 7 pm. The tentative fall broadcast slate, expected to include 32 webcasts of men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball, was also released Friday.

In addition to those 32 events, any Southern Conference Tournament contest involving UNCG teams will also be shown on Spartan All Access through its syndication agreement with the conference office.

Annual packages, granting access to Spartan All Access broadcasts for all eight sports (men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, wrestling, softball and baseball) during the 2008-09 season, are available for $49.95. Individual sport packages are available for the fall season at $24.95.

New to the Spartan All Access family of packages is the ability for single-game purchase for regular season events. Fans can now buy a single game for just $4.95. Thus, if a fan can't make it to a game, the individual can buy that game and not have to buy a full season or annual package. The single-game purchase is not available for Southern Conference Tournament contests.

The first women's soccer webcast is set for August 22 when UNCG hosts Coastal Carolina at 7 pm. The first volleyball webcast is slated for Sunday, September 7 when UNCG hosts Missouri State at 2 pm.

The winter Spartan All Access webcast schedule, which will include men's and women's basketball and wrestling, will be released in early September following the announcement of those schedules and the solidification of conference television packages.

In addition, Spartan All Access announced two free preview events. The August 20 men's soccer match against Duke will be shown for free, as well the Sunday, October 26 women's soccer match against Davidson.

The schedule of webcasts for men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball is listed below.
