Kristin Player named SoCon Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC – UNC Greensboro’s Kristin Player has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for outstanding play in UNCG’s two victories last week.

Player, a freshman forward from Placentia, CA, has been awarded the recognition due to her exploits on the field in last week’s matches. In both the 2-0 win against No. 27 William and Mary and the 2-0 victory over Central Michigan, she fired in the game-winning goal. Player was also credited with an assist on the second goal against CMU.

UNCG will look to increase its two-game win streak as the Spartans travel to Boca Raton, FL this weekend for the Florida Atlantic Tournament. The Spartans will take on Northwestern on Friday night and Ball State on Sunday afternoon.
