Women’s golf finishes seventh at JMU Invitational

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – UNCG women's golf team couldn't move up in the standings on the final day of the JMU Invitational, settling for a tie for seventh on Sunday at Eagle Landing Golf Course.

The Spartans shot 310 on Sunday and finished tournament play at 909 (304-295-310). UNCG tied with Chattanooga and Stetson. South Florida won the team championship by shooting 883.

Fanny Cnops led the way for the Spartans, shooting 75 on Sunday to finish seventh overall at 218 (74-69-75). Campbell's Kaylin Yost (-1) took top individual honors.

Ana Lucia Martinez finished tied for 18th at 224 after shooting 76 on Sunday, while Courtney Taylor tied for 40th at 230.

Berglind Bjornsdottir and Begona Sarabia both tied for 77th at 240. Bjornsdottir shot 80 on Sunday while Sarabia finished tournament play with a 79.

Kelly Berry played as an individual for UNCG and shot 79 on Sunday to finish 100th at 255.
