Martinez's 73 paces UNCG in second round at Landfall Tradition
WILMINGTON, N.C. – Junior Ana Martinez shot a one-over par 73 on Saturday to lead UNCG's second round action at the Landfall Tradition.
Martinez's 73 moved her up to a tie for 35th place after a tough day on Friday with an opening round 79. She was the lone bright spot for the Spartans on Sunday, carding a second round 324.
Duke leads the team standings at 575, five shots better than UCLA and North Carolina. The Spartans are in 18th place with a score of 642.
Virginia's Brittany Altomare is the individual leader at 139 after 36 holes. She is one shot ahead of Duke's Lindy Duncan and three shots ahead of a trio of golfers.
Sunday's final round will be a shotgun start, getting underway at 8:45 a.m.
