Top teams arrive in Greensboro for Bryan National Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The nation's top women's golf teams will make their annual visit to Bryan Park this weekend as UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest co-host the Bryan National Collegiate on the Players Course.

Always a strong field, this year's edition of the Bryan National Collegiate may have even outdone itself. Eleven of the 18 teams in this year's field are ranked in the Top 30 in the nation, led by second-ranked Auburn and fourth-ranked Duke. LSU is the defending champion. The Tigers are currently ranked No. 17 in the Golfstat rankings.

The field will also feature two of the top five individual players in the country according to the Golfstat Cup rankings in Auburn's Cydney Clanton, the top-ranked player this week, and fourth-ranked Marina Alex of Vanderbilt. In all, eight of the top 30-ranked individuals are expected to be in this weekend's field.

The Players Course will be laid out at a length of 6,323 yards for this weekend's event. Friday and Saturday's action will be set-up as tee times off Nos. 1 and 10 beginning at 8:20 a.m. On Friday, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and LSU will go off in the first wave off of No. 1, while Ohio State, Louisville and South Carolina will go off at No. 10 in the first wave. UNC Greensboro will go off No. 1 beginning at 9:05 a.m., while Wake Forest goes off No. 1 in the last wave beginning at 9:50 a.m. Saturday's tee times and Sunday's shotgun start positions will be based on team standing.
