Aidemark's 77 leads UNCG in opening round at Landfall

WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNC Greensboro junior Sofia Aidemark fired an opening round 77 as the Spartans opened play at the prestigious Landfall Tradition.

The Spartans are 12th after the opening round, shooting a team score of 332. Wake Forest is the opening round leader with a 297, followed by Ohio State six shots back.

Aidemark went out in 39 and played the back in 38. She had 13 pars on the day. Wake Forest's Natalie Sheary is the individual leader after an opening round even-par 72. Ohio State's Vicky Villanueva is one shot back.

The second round is slated to get underway at 9:12 am with tee times weather permitting.
