WILMINGTON, N.C. – Battling heavy rain, UNC Greensboro shot a team score of 320 to sit in 11th place after the opening round on women’s play at the Landfall Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall.
Teams struggled throughout the day in the conditions. In fact, the Spartans sit one shot behind North Carolina State, a Top 25 ranked team, after the first round.
Senior Ashley Mylton was UNCG’s top golfer with a 76. She is tied for 23rd place, although she struggled late in her round. Mylton was three shots off the lead at one-under after 12 holes.
