Mylton records another Top 10, Spartans sixth at Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Senior Ashley Mylton recorded her fifth Top 10 finish as a Spartan to lead UNC Greensboro to a sixth place finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman University GC on Sunday.

Mylton shot a final round 77 to finish in a tie for seventh place at a tournament title of 225. The Charlotte, NC native had recorded rounds of 74 on the first two days and finished eight shots off the pace.

UNC Wilmington’s Carmen Perez-Narbon won the individual crown with a final round 69 to rally from a tough second round of Saturday. Perez-Narbon shot 78 on Saturday after an opening round 70 gave her an early lead. She finished the tournament at 217, two shot ahead of East Tennessee State’s Laura Jansone.

TCU won the team title, shooting 896 for the weekend and topping Notre Dame by 14 shots. East Tennessee State was third at 912.

UNCG closes out the fall portion of its schedule at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, NC beginning Friday.
