Creed qualifies for Public Links Championship

GREENVILLE, NC – UNC Greensboro’s Erica Creed finished second at her sectional qualifier to earn a spot in next month’s USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship to be held at Erin Hills GC in Erin, WI.

Creed, a sophomore to be at UNCG, shot a 74 at Ironwood GC to finish second, two shots behind Andrea Watts. A native of Kernersville, NC, Creed was one of four qualifiers out of the Greenville site and one of 75 to qualify thus far for next month’s event. The Public Links Championship will be held June 16-21.

UNCG’s Ashley Mylton advanced to the Public Links Championship last summer. She advanced through the stroke play portion to match play, but was knocked out in the opening round.
