UNCG finishes fourth at Nittany Lion Women's Golf Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Freshman Annelie Weimenhog shot a final round 79 on Sunday to help UNC Greensboro to a fourth-place finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational.

Weimenhog, a native of Kattarp, Sweden, finished in a tie for 18th place as UNCG wound up in a tie for fourth with Rollins College at 965. Weimenhog, playing in her first collegiate tournament, shot a tournament total of 240. Gabby DiMora was UNCG’s top individual finisher, shooting 239 to tie for 15th place in the individual standings. DiMora, a junior from Auburn, NY, shot an 83 on Sunday to record her third career Top 20 finish.

Penn State won the team title with a score of 927, 10 shots better than Washington and Yale, which tied for second. Penn State’s Evelyn Paik won the individual title, shooting a 73 on Sunday to cap off her tournament total of 224.

UNCG returns to action on October 6 when it begins play at the Lady Paladin Invite in Greenville, SC.
