Mylton and DiMora put UNCG in fourth at Nittany Lion Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Juniors Ashley Mylton and Gabby DiMora each shot an 80 on Friday afternoon to put UNC Greensboro in fourth place among 14 schools after day one of the Nittany Lion Invitational which is being played at the Par 72, 6,300 yard Penn State White Course.

Mylton and DiMora are tied for 19th, five shots behind first day leader Caitlin Barry of Rollins College, who fired a three-over 75. Mylton’s day featured both a 40 on the front and back-nine layout, while DiMora went 41-39 in her round.

Sophomore Jennifer Link is tied for 27th after shooting an 82, while sophomore Ashley Parrott and freshman Annelie Weimenhog both finished at +12 (84).

Rollins shot a +25 (313) to hold a one-stroke advantage over the University of Washington and Penn State. UNCG shot a 326 and is one shot ahead of Richmond.

Saturday’s tee times have been moved to a 1:15 pm shotgun start, while Sunday is still scheduled for an 8 pm start.
