GAINESVILLE, Fla. – UNC Greensboro carded a team score of 326 on Sunday to finish 16th at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational hosted by the University of Florida.
The tournament, which featured nine of the Top 50 teams in the country, was won by host Florida. The 12th-ranked Lady Gators shot a final round 291 to win by 14 shots over No. 28 TCU.
Gabby DiMora recorded UNCG’s best round on Sunday, carding a 79 to finish in a tie for 66th place. UNCG’s best finisher was Ashley Mylton in a tie for 62nd place.
Florida’s Sandra Gal held on for the individual title, shooting a 71 on Sunday to finish the tournament at even-par. The No. 2 ranked player in the country, Gal outdistanced TCU’s Catherine Matranga by five shots for the win.
UNCG returns to action April 6 when it co-hosts the Bryan National at Bryan Park Golf Club.
