UNCG ninth after two rounds at Pine Needles Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. – UNC Greensboro is ninth after two rounds at the Pine Needles Intercollegiate women’s golf tournament.

Georgia State leads the tournament with a first round 598, followed by Augusta State, Richmond in third and Yale and tournament host Rollins College tied in a tie for fourth.

UNCG was led by Gabby DiMora, who sits in a tie for 23rd place. The sophomore from Auburn, NY fired a 77 in the first round and 80 in the afternoon’s second round. Brttany Hofmeister is in 39th place, shooting an 85 in the morning and rebounding with a 77 in the afternoon. UNCG’s Lacy Miller, playing as an individual, is tied for 32nd place after shooting 80 in both of Monday’s rounds.

Augusta State’s Emilie Geury is the individual leader, firing 75 in the first round and 70 in the afternoon’s second round to hold a one-shot lead over Georgia State’s Anna Scott.

The third and final round will be played on Tuesday morning.
