GREENVILLE, S.C. – UNC Greensboro’s Gabby DiMora shot a one-over par 73 to sit in a tie for ninth place after one round at the Lady Paladin Intercollegiate held at the Furman University Golf Course.
UNCG is tied for 14th place after the first round, firing a team score of 314 in the first 18 holes. Furman holds the team lead, shooting 292 on the first day.
DiMora, a sophomore from Auburn, NY, went out in 37 and came into the clubhouse in 36 to sit three shots off of the lead. College of Charleston’s Angie Hill claimed the lead after the first round with an opening day 70. Four players are tied one shot back, with three more players sitting two shots off of the pace.
Second round action gets underway on Saturday morning in the three-day event.
