Mylton named second team All-SoCon

MEBANE, NC – UNC Greensboro sophomore Ashley Mylton has been named to the second-team All-Southern Conference women’s golf squad by vote of the league’s coaches.

Mylton, a native of Charlotte, NC and product of South Mecklenburg HS, finished second at last week’s Southern Conference Championship, firing rounds of 72 and 70 in the rain-shortened event. Her round of 70 on Sunday was a career-low and gave her the second second-place finish of her collegiate career.

For the season, Mylton had a stroke average of 76.96, the best on the team. She recorded five Top 20 finishes and two Top 10 finishes in 10 tournaments. She was UNCG’s top finisher in five of the Spartans’ 10 tournaments this season.
