Storylines

• After a three-game homestand, UNCG sets out on a three-game Southern Conference road swing, starting Friday at Wofford.

• The Spartans have lost three straight and five of their last six after a six-game winning streak. UNCG is tied for fourth in the SoCon standings, while the Terriers are last at 6-12 overall and 2-8 in league play.

• Last time out, UNCG dropped a 53-52 contest to Davidson at Fleming Gym on Tuesday. Freshman Janae' Stevenson notched her second career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Monique Floyd joined her in double figures with 11 points. The Spartans forced 24 Wildcat turnovers and outrebounded Davidson, but shot just 30.5 percent from the floor and went just 14-for-22 from the free throw line.

• UNCG's loss to Davidson was its first this season when holding its opponent to fewer than 60 points. The Spartans had been 7-0 in that situation, but were done in by scoring just 52 points of their own, good for their second-lowest scoring game of the season. UNCG scored a season-low 50 points at College of Charleston, but held the Cougars to just 45 points to take the win.

• The Spartans have lost three straight SoCon games for the first time this season after opening league play 5-0.

• UNCG leads the series with Wofford 27-4. The Terriers picked up their first-ever season sweep of UNCG last season, but the Spartans earned a measure of revenge with an 80-67 win in this season's first meeting, on Dec. 18. UNCG is 11-3 all-time against Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C., and has never lost games there in back-to-back seasons.

• This weekend's trip will be the Spartans' fourth one to South Carolina this season. UNCG opened the campaign at Clemson on Nov. 12, played at Charleston Southern on Nov. 22 and took on College of Charleston on the road on Jan. 15.

• Floyd had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and three other starters reached double figures in scoring as UNCG downed Wofford in this season's first meeting. Freshman Logan Morris scored a career-high 16 points to lead Wofford, while April Moorhouse had 12 points. The Spartans scored 30 points off 28 Terrier turnovers in the contest.

• Floyd leads UNCG in scoring at 13.7 points per game and is second on the team with 6.0 rebounds per contest. On the strength of her 11 boards Tuesday, Stevenson reclaimed the team rebounding lead from Floyd and is now averaging 6.2 per contest. Amanda Leigh is UNCG's second-leading scorer at 11.9 points per game. Floyd, who leads the SoCon and is 17th nationally with a 2.2 assist-to-turnover ratio, dishes off a team-best 3.4 assists per game. She is also second in the SoCon with 2.6 offensive rebounds per game. Richbow leads UNCG with 2.1 steals per game.

• Several Spartans are making moves in the UNCG record book. With a blocked shot against App State on Jan. 22, Kendra Smith moved into sole possession of 10th on the career blocked shots list with 44. With one against Davidson, Stevenson moved into sole possession of 13th in single-season blocked shots with 23. With one steal against Davidson, Floyd moved into a tie for 10th in school history for her career with 168.

• Floyd is also on the verge of another milestone. She enters play Saturday needing just 28 points to become the 22nd player in school history to score 1,000 points.

• Wofford has lost four straight and seven of its last eight. Like UNCG in its recent slump, the lone win for the Terriers came over College of Charleston, on Jan. 13.

• In their current four-game losing streak, the Terriers are losing by 24.8 points per game, with the low point a 36-point setback to Furman on Jan. 19. Wofford's most recent game was the closest of a the bunch, a 57-41 road defeat at Georgia Southern on Monday.

• Wofford knocked down a 3 for the game's first basket against Georgia Southern, but the Lady Eagles answered with a 13-0 run and never trailed again despite making just six second-half field goals. Rachel Brittenham scored a team-high nine points for Wofford, while Kelly Blake had eight and seven rebounds. Mahagony Williams had seven points and eight boards. The Terriers turned the ball over 31 times.

• Moorhouse leads Wofford with 11.6 points per game, while Williams is second at 10.7 per game and leads the team with 8.1 rebounds per contest. Brittenham leads the SoCon with 5.0 assists per contest.
