Basketball, Wrestling All Access slates tentatively set
GREENSBORO, NC - A total of 46 events are tentatively slated for webcast on Spartan All Access during the men's and women's basketball and wrestling seasons, according to a schedule released by UNC Greensboro's athletic department on Tuesday.
There are 19 men's and 19 women's basketball broadcasts tentatively slated for Spartan All Access this coming season. In addition, eight wrestling events, including the two-day Southern Scuffle, are on tap for the tentative schedule. The schedule includes 10 home men's basketball games and 13 women's basketball home games. Six women's basketball road games and nine road men's basketball games are anticpated being made available through JumpTV syndication.
Annual packages, granting access to Spartan All Access broadcasts for all eight sports (men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, wrestling, softball and baseball) during the 2008-09 season, are still available for $49.95. Men's or women's basketball packages are available for the $19.95 if purchased during the month of October, $24.95 after that. Wrestling packages are available for $19.95, including viewing rights to the Southern Scuffle. Packages will be available for purchase beginning Wednesday, October 1 through UNCGSpartans.com. New to the Spartan All Access family of packages is the ability for single-game purchase for regular season events. Fans can now buy a single game for just $4.95. Thus, if a fan can't make it to a game, the individual can buy that game and not have to buy a full season or annual package. The single-game purchase is not available for Southern Conference Tournament contests. Fans who buy a season package or the annual package do get all SoCon Tournament events that involve UNCG teams through the SoCon.TV's syndication.
Spartan All Access will have one free preview for each sport at the beginning of the season. The men's basketball game against Webber International on November 17, the women's basketball game with Bowling Green on November 29 will all be offered as free preview games, and the wrestling match against Appalachian State on January 11.
