The trip here was long!! We first had to bus five hours to
Atlanta from Greensboro and THEN we had a very long nine hour
flight to Milan. I'm one of the players that doesn't like to fly so
a nine hour flight was a tough pill to swallow for me (no pun
intended, since I took some medicine to make the flight a little
bit better). My mom is with me on the trip so that helped too.
:)
For a group as large as ours - we have about 50 people on the trip
- things went quite smoothly! We didn't have anyone get lost,
nobody lost their passport and we all made it safely to Italy,
although, we were definitely tired and hungry by the time we landed
in Milan!!
Speaking of tired we didn't even get to sleep today but it was OK
because once we found our tour guides we went straight to Lake
Como, which is about an hour from Milan. We got to see a really
cool old church, but one of our group members had to wait outside
because she had shorts on but other that that it was a really cool
church, with lots of ancient Italian history. We also spent some
time wandering around outside at one of the many outdoor shops that
they have. Well, since I'm running on just about no sleep in the
past 24 hours AND I have to get up really early tomorrow. I'm going
to get to bed. Both the men and women play their first game
tomorrow so wish us luck!
Ciao!
