Softball Participates in "Relay for Life"

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNCG softball team is participating in the "Relay for Life" campaign to raise money in the fight against cancer. 

The team is competing against one another to raise the most money. The official "Relay for Life" game is Saturday, March 23 against SoCon opponent Furman at 1 p.m. at the UNCG Softball Stadium.

Spiro - Eileen Horsmon, Toni MacReynolds, Tatiana Alcala, Kelly Lupton, Chelsea Strandlund
Armour - Heather Robb, Raeanne Hanks, Aisha Figueroa, Danielle Vega

The team will be selling $1 luminaries leading up to the game as well, which will go towards Relay for Life.  Fans can still donate to each of the teams at this doubleheader. The softball team will also be participating in the "Relay for Life" event at UNCG on April 5th, which takes place at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.
