UNCG Names Janelle Breneman Head Softball Coach
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Janelle Breneman, who has spent the past eight years in the SEC and ACC, has been named the ninth head softball coach in UNCG softball history, Director of Athletics Kim Record announced Wednesday. Breneman brings 17 years of collegiate coaching experience to UNCG, including nine years as a head coach at both Bucknell and East Stroudsburg.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – On the day UNCG honored the life of former player and coach Tara Csernecky, the Spartans celebrated in grand fashion, taking a pair of walk-off wins over Western Carolina, getting two home runs from Heather Robb and turning what is believed to be the first triple play in school history. UNCG won Saturday’s first game 8-7 on a Katelyn Bedwell homer and won game two 6-5 on Eileen Horsmon’s RBI single to sweep the Southern Conference doubleheader.
